Our quality management system
Control Union Certifications has implemented a robust Quality Management System, that secures the independence of our staff involved in certification decisions. All staff involved in certification have received training in the system. Our quality management system regulates how certification programs are carried out by our staff.
It is based on the principles of accreditation and is reviewed by Control Union Certifications’ advisory council, which consists of representatives from farmers, processors and consumers. The council advises the Control Union Certifications’ management team on the quality management system, ensuring that certification decisions are taken independently with respect to existing rules and the rights of the customers.
Accreditation
Control Union Certifications is accredited by several local and international operating accreditation organisations such as the Dutch board of accreditation (RVA) and the Accreditation Services International (ASI).
ISO 14001:2015 EMS – Environmental Management System
ISO 14001 helps to identify potential environmental issues and eliminate or reduce them. Control Union is accredited for ISO 14001:2015 under registration nr. RvA-C499 Mgmt. Sys and can complete certification audits on a global scale.

ISO 50001 – Energy Management
ISO 50001 is an international standard supporting organisations to improve the efficiency of their energy management while optimising energy performance in all processes. Control Union Certifications is accredited for ISO 50001:2011 and is able to undertake certification audits on a global scale.
