The Responsible Mohair Standard (RMS) provides an opportunity for farmers to demonstrate their best practices to the public, and a means for brands and consumers to have the certainty that the mohair products they buy and sell are in line with their values. The Responsible Alpaca Standard (RAS) provides an opportunity for farmers to demonstrate their best practices to the public, and a means for brands and consumers to have the certainty that the alpaca fiber products they buy and sell are in line with their values. The GRS is an international, voluntary, full product standard that sets requirements for third-party certification of recycled content, chain of custody, social and environmental practices and chemical restrictions. The Organic Content Standard (OCS) applies to any non-food product containing 5-100 percent organic material. Control Union Certifications offers SMETA (Sedex Member Ethical Trade Audit) auditing, a method developed by the multi stakeholder consultation initiative, Sedex. SMETA’s role is to align social audit standards and monitoring practices, to ease the auditing burden on suppliers by sharing reports and driving improvements in supply chain labour standards.

The RCS (Recycled Claim Standard) is used as a chain of custody standard to track recycled raw materials through the supply chain. The Organic Content Standard (OCS) applies to any non-food product containing 95-100 percent organic material. It verifies the presence and amount of organic material in a final product and tracks the flow of the raw material from its source to the final product. REDcert EU has originally been developed as one of the first voluntary schemes based on the European Renewable Energy Directive (RED). REDcert’s main focus is on European supply chains. This means that REDcert EU is mainly limited to application within European member states.
